Week 9 - M persona. Week 8 - Starting the M. View my complete profile. Friday, 28 November 2008. The animation of the M did not go overly well moving the M caused a lot of problems with the skin causing lots of folds and dents to appear, as well as during walking it the shoulders of the M separated and caused it to stretch and deform. With the animation I added several cameras so that I could render different views of the animation rather than just a face on shot of the M walking.

View my complete profile. Friday, 5 December 2008. I added lighting to my M scenes to give it a more concert/club type feel and add more into the scene. The lights were created and positioned to come from the lights on the stage. I animated the lights to move in patterns using the animation option of a path constraint and creating a line to act as a guide. Later on during creating the band scene the acoustic guitar was dropped out as the Y looked better without carrying a guitar.

Week 9 - M persona. Week 8 - Starting the M. View my complete profile. Friday, 7 November 2008. In this week the group consisting of myself, Sam and James discussed separating the YMCA characters so that each person would do a character of the YMCA and whoever finished the basic design and build first would do the remaining A. The YMCA characters were going to differ as we had decided that each character would represent a different genre of music and thus giving them a personality. I searched the interne...

Virtual Environments 2008: Tutorial 8 - Ear Creation

http://virtualenvironments2008.blogspot.com/2008/10/tutorial-8-ear-creation.html

Wednesday, 22 October 2008. Tutorial 8 - Ear Creation. A very difficult piece of geometry and very complex. Use a similar method that we did for the face for the ear. Load reference image, and define some key areas. From this point we want to start drawing in the topology, same idea as before, connecting the lines, and making new ones. Create the necessary quads. Don’t worry about making this too complex. Take this into 3D Max and start sculpting the ear. Look at the reference image, edge mode, select th...

However just using a 3D painting tool we could easily place the ear somewhere else. Lets just clean up the results a little bit. What you want to avoid in your UV layout is avoid ambiguous quads. Wednesday, 22 October 2008. Tutorial 6 - Refining Model (the nose). Refining organic models with Edit Poly. How to add details to your model. Switch to the front view and maximise so we can access the nose area. We are going to add some additional faces. BG // Charleston, SC

By Robert J. Hastings. But uppermost in our conscious minds is our final destination- for at a certain hour and on a given day, our train will finally pull into the station with bells ringing, flags waving, and bands playing. And once that day comes, so many wonderful dreams will come true. So restlessly, we pace the aisles and count the miles, peering ahead, waiting, waiting, waiting for the station. Yes, when we reach the station, that will be it! From that day on we will all live happily ever after.
