Keeping Up With The Joneses: September 2014
http://hillaryandjonathan.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Lincoln started kindergarten on Tuesday September 2. It was a really hard day for me. It is weird to have him away from me for so long every day (he gets on the bus at 8:30 and off at 4:00 ish) and I miss him during the day. I cried and cried that first day, but I’ve been doing better since. Luckily, it was a much happier day for Lincoln…. He rides the bus with our neighbor, Paul, so it’s nice to have someone familiar to sit next to. Posted by Hillary and Jonathan. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Free in DC"...

Keeping Up With The Joneses: April 2013
http://hillaryandjonathan.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
We just enjoyed a fun filled weekend of Easter festivities. Here’s a recap:. We started off the weekend with a trip to the National Kite Festival on the Mall. We had never been before, so we didn’t really know what to expect. Getting on and off the metro was something of a trial, but otherwise it was wonderful. The weather was perfect and we loved seeing thousands of kites in the air at once. Conan could not contain his excitement and had to be chased constantly. A picture to prove I was there too. We fi...

Easter- A Month Later. Here are a few belated Easter pictures. We had a wonderful playgroup Easter Egg Hunt through Church on a very chilly day. I didn’t get very many pictures of Lincoln on this day because he and Conan were hunting in separate areas. On Easter morning the Easter Bunny left a bunch of eggs in our backyard and, luckily for Lincoln and Conan, there wasn’t nearly as much competition. It was a happy day, mismatched pajamas and all. Keeping Up With The Joneses: Assateague Island
http://hillaryandjonathan.blogspot.com/2014/08/assateague-island.html
Assateague Island is special because it is home to a herd of wild ponies. Before we arrived I was worried that we wouldn’t see any. That was a needless worry because they were everywhere. . As we were setting up our campsite some ponies came to scavenge in our neighbors campsite. We were careful to keep all of our food in our car. Our campsite wasn’t. The beach, but it was very close. The boys enjoyed playing in the water, as they always do. Posted by Hillary and Jonathan. You guys consistently plan and ...

Keeping Up With The Joneses: Maine
http://hillaryandjonathan.blogspot.com/2014/08/maine.html
After leaving Assateague Island we drove about six hours to Hartford, Connecticut. We spent the evening drying out our soaked camping gear and eating pizza. On our way out of town the next morning we stopped by my grandmother’s childhood home in West Hartford for a quick photo. Conan (and Jonathan) spent a lot of time throwing rocks into the ocean throughout our trip. A rare picture of Jonathan and I together, taken by Lincoln. We had dinner at a place on the water called Flatbread. We were seated at...

Keeping Up With The Joneses: August 2013
http://hillaryandjonathan.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Conan turned 18 months old the other day. He is growing up. He’s still in the 90% for height and a little under 75th for weight. He loves cars and trucks and can constantly be heard exclaiming “Big truck! 8221; whenever he spots one. He is talking more and more every day and constantly charming us… when he’s not waking us up at 5 am. Here are the 18 month pictures that I took today:. I really loved this drift wood background, but I just could not get him to look at me and smile there. Lincoln in the News.

Keeping Up With The Joneses: June 2014

We attended DC’s annual Truck Touch in June. Organizers gather every sort of truck imaginable, assemble them in the parking lot of RFK stadium, and allow children to climb all over them. My boys were in heaven. They have been talking about the Truck Touch since it happened and cannot wait for next year. Posted by Hillary and Jonathan. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lincoln’s 4 Year Old Pictures. I talked Lincoln into taking pictures by doing it at a caboose, unfortunately it was pretty cold and windy, so we didn’t last very long. Posted by Hillary and Jonathan. Lincoln’s Train Party. Last Saturday we celebrated Lincoln’s 4th birthday with a train extravaganza at our home. I’ve been experimenting with Photoshop a lot lately, so I designed a lot of the elements of our party myself. It was fun, but could be time consuming. The second game was played was called “...

Lake Artemesia and Lunch with Daddy-o. I’ve decided that the boys and I are going to do more exploration of our area. We are in the process of switching Conan to only one nap and being out and about is the perfect way to avoid everyone requesting that he take a morning nap. Last week we found a “hike” that was supposed to be friendly for toddlers and children on this blog. While we were hiking three freight trains went by on the nearby tracks (Lincoln is in the middle of a train relapse)! When we were on...

Charles’ Great Adventure. The day after we returned from our trip to Arizona, the unthinkable happened. Charles went missing. Even though I assured Lincoln that Charles must have just gone on an adventure, he was heartbroken and it was terrible. We tried to imagine what Charles might be doing on his adventure. Maybe he was riding in a semi-truck! Maybe he’d gone back to Arizona! Thankfully, after a few days, Charles started checking in. First, we got an email with this picture:. Who is that other guy?
