Saturday, August 30, 2008. My Great Big Idea. OK, so I've realized how I am going to make my millions in this life. I am going to write a book called "The Purpose Driven Cart"! It will explore the basic principles and etiquette of using a shopping cart in busy shopping areas. It will transform lives and, as we apply the principles, we will make other shoppers so happy! Posted by Tara Malouf. Links to this post. Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Day 1 - Listen. Day 2 - Trust and Seek. Day 3 - Delight. I wrote s...

Prone to Wander: Hope
http://perigrinatio.blogspot.com/2009/02/hope.html
Thursday, February 19, 2009. I believe it is called dramatic irony. You know, in literature when the weather seems to mimic the moods or intentions of the characters and/or plot line. I have felt this often this winter season - the environment around me seems to be screaming lessons into my heart and life. Today, I am feeling hopeful! This brings me hope. I look forward to the bursts of color that these buds hold now only in promise. I look forward to the new movements of God churning in me and h...Tara,...

There should also be a link to the right called StoryFormed. Posted by Tara Malouf. Links to this post. Thursday, February 19, 2009. Today, I am feeling hopeful! However, on closer examination, there are small bumps forming along the twigs and at their tips. Small formations that are a slightly different color from the bra...

Monday, March 24, 2008. Easter Season (March 23 to May 10). I've been thinking a lot about the resurrection and its implications for me (us) today as a follower of Jesus. I have lived in a faith tradition that normally sees Easter as a one day event, but have come to appreciate an alternate keeping of time coming down through the ages - namely the Christian calendar. Some Easter thoughts by a favorite author:. 8230; if Lent is a time to give things up, then Easter ought to be a time to take things up.

Friday, April 17, 2009. Why I Love Home Depot. Alright, my extended vacation on another blog is over and I'm ready to come back to blogger. (I will still continue to post about living in the rhythms of the Christian seasons and faith formation on the StoryFormed blog. Though. Stop by every once and a while.). I love the paint section - especially all the color sample cards. My children love this section too and I have tons of the color cards in my purse to prove it! However, thanks to Home Depot (and A L...

Monday, February 25, 2008. Patterns of Prayer - Week 4. One small disclaimer: this has been the toughest blog to write so far. If I have stepped on toes or offended, I apologize, but I believe this is an area in need of great prayer! N) Webster’s defines it as a building for public worship. Wikipedia says it is an association of people with a common belief system. How do you define it? What do you see when you look at the church? Here are some possible (and ugly) descriptors: individualistic. 8211; I am ...

Saturday, September 20, 2008. Check it out here. That "historylessness" intrigues me. As I am exploring the idea of being Story-Formed, the question arises, what story will we listen to? Will it be a thin story - based on snipets and pieces from culture mixed with biblical principles - or will it me the thicker, much harder to navigate, stories that integrate tradition, history, the whole community of the people of God and the Bible? I am not even sure we have a good plan for doing the latter.). So yeste...

Therapy From 5,000 Feet: August 2009
http://nixonlife.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Therapy From 5,000 Feet. Thursday, August 13, 2009. Telluride, Day 2. The next day, we had a great Italian lunch in a courtyard restaurant before going hiking. We then trekked. Up a steep climb to the bottom of Cornet Waterfall. Afterwards, we soaked in the lodge's hottub. And had a picnic dinner out by the creek near our room. Then we rode up to San Sophia, a 10,000 ft mountain top that separates Telluride. Enjoying the flowered meadow by our lodge. View of the mountains from the waterfall. We stayed at...
