Four Teens and a Teabag: December 2014
http://fourteensandateabag.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 31 December 2014. We had a most peculiar start to Christmas this year, since just the three of us were around right up until Christmas Eve! It seemed very strange having fridges groaning with food and drink, beds everywhere, tables set for 17 and furniture rearranged waiting for the masses to descend. Ben's train got in, Jon and Sam arrived with the children, Mum and Dad arrived complete with dinner, with Jenny and family hot on their heels after sitting on the M25 in a jam. Amid much exciteme...

Four Teens and a Teabag: July 2015
http://fourteensandateabag.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 July 2015. By virtue of trying to do too many things this year, I missed out on virtually every Book Club meeting with the girls. This week it was my turn to host so I made a big effort to ensure a good night was had by all. Despite the grey skies the garden room looked summery with pretty vintage embroidered tablecloths (which don't show up in the pic) and candles, becoming festive once everything was dark and glittering. Sunday, 26 July 2015. We needed to get some jobs done, and I was ini...

Four Teens and a Teabag: April 2015
http://fourteensandateabag.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 April 2015. Ben celebrated his birthday last week, but we didn't see him as his landlord had called the pest team in early that morning (mice), he was going to a gig that evening, and the night before he was taken out for dinner by Fran. So he came for a quick visit this week instead, managing to see both Martin and Max on Sunday evening before spending Monday unwinding with a long sleep and a lazy walk through the bluebells. BubbleAR seems to have published plenty of Vicki's articles.

Four Teens and a Teabag: August 2015
http://fourteensandateabag.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 3 August 2015. So here we are, a mere five days before DH and I depart for two whole weeks at sea, and I am still unsure whether I am looking forward to or dreading it. I will have my DH to myself for 14 whole days;. We won't have to worry about what the children need, whether work beckons, or even what chaos reigns on social media;. There will be no pressure to cook fantastic meals as, let's face it, the galley and lockers can only produce so much magic;. Partly the issue is nuggets of memory...

Four Teens and a Teabag: Round the Island
http://fourteensandateabag.blogspot.com/2015/06/round-island.html
Monday, 29 June 2015. Drifter made it Round the Island. Martin entered the race this year with a couple of rugby friends, and they had a fabulous time. The weather was almost perfect, sunshine and wind, and they held their own well against the rest of their class, coming in 23rd of 55 registered in 8A, amongst 1600 total entrants. Crossing the finish line. Having the house to ourselves for the weekend, Max and I tootled off to enjoy the BBQ at Chilbolton fete (warm sunshine and beautiful gardens), then h...

Four Teens and a Teabag: November 2014
http://fourteensandateabag.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 25 November 2014. So we came back from Rome late Thursday, and on Friday we hosted the choir movie night! It was a fun evening in the end, the video was good (and made us more aware of the importance of smiling as we sing! And the food and drink likewise. Lots of washing up but we also kept the dregs of the booze, so I have been cooking with wine the last few days! Luckily I had already agreed to give Rosie a lift back to London, so we can load the car up as much as she likes. Rosie saved up for...

Four Teens and a Teabag: May 2015
http://fourteensandateabag.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Friday, 29 May 2015. Rosie is almost a month into her Internship with the National Trust at Petworth House, which is proving somewhat difficult to reach by public transport. So I volunteered to drive her back there after the weekend and am very glad I did: we had a lovely sunny and scenic drive through the South Downs National Park, all very straightforward and a delight, the lanes lined with bouffant cow parsley and trees in blossom everywhere. Thursday, 28 May 2015. Sailing, of course. Rosie came home ...

Four Teens and a Teabag: Testing Times
http://fourteensandateabag.blogspot.com/2015/07/testing-times.html
Thursday, 2 July 2015. I think the last time I took an exam was my Solicitors' Finals in 1986. That's a heck of a long time ago. But it all came back to me very clearly yesterday as I sat in baking sunshine (the hottest July day for years) at Lady Margaret Hall in Oxford, waiting to sit my CIM exam. The heat. The tense checking of candidate numbers, appropriate pens and identity cards. Sitting with false nonchalance waiting for the dreaded hour to come. I had better jolly well pass, but did leave feeling...
