Monday, March 31, 2003. Well, we made it back safely from California! Our flight finally arrived in Grand Rapids at 1:15am today. I guess it was today. seems like a long time ago now. We got home around 2:00am, made it to bed around 2:30am. I finally made it into the office at about 11:00am today and stumbled around in a daze most of the day! One thing that I am realizing is that we all come to the table with certain definitions and assumptions of what ministry is, what our goals are and how we achieve those goals. In our staff meetings at GLCC. What does that look like? I believe that this would better align and integrate the church, bringing us to a place where we can do a better job of helping people become fully devoted followers of Christ instead of people devoted to our programs. Thursday, July 31, 2003. Getting out of dodge. We're taking a much needed vacation! Friday morning, August 1, we're loading up our new (to us) pop-up camper and heading for the U.P. (that's Michigan's Upper Peninsula for you non-Michiganders). We're spending four nights at Tahquamenon Falls and then visiting relatives in Engadine for a couple of days.
