Wednesday, April 17, 2013. It's become our habit to check our email first thing in the morning to see if we got any updates from the U.S.Embassy in Ethiopia. The first time I checked this morning there was nothing. When I got to work, I decided to check again just for fun. Not only did we have an email, but our case has been cleared! Thursday, May 16, 2013. New Arrival Date: Friday. First it was immigration, then it was flight delays. The new estimated departure time was already 2 hours late (leaving at 10 and arriving around midnight) with no guarantees that time wouldn't be extended. So, the Fiets made the hard decision to spend the night at a hotel and fly home tomorrow. They should arrive around noon.
