Monday, February 15, 2016. Working digitally with layers is great for drawing and illustration. I love to start with loose underdrawing and put another layer over the top and tighten up the lines. Digital is very forgiving, making it easy to go back and fix mistakes. This illustration was fun to try and capture these guys' personality in a cartoon. Line work drawn over the sketch. Under drawing with minimal color. Initial sketch drawn in Sketchbook Pro on the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

Thursday, December 8, 2016. During a Salvation Army meeting I doodled some winter clothes while we were planning our Share the Warmth coat drive. I put it into Photoshop repeated the design and added some color. It made for a perfect background for our letterhead! My interest in caricatures and capturing a persons likeness continues.
