Feeling Blessed: July 2014
http://christa-feelingblessed.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
My lace and quilt blog. Friday, July 18, 2014. Sarah had to work pm so she came for lunch. She likes to take "official" photos of Caleb once a month and a piece of fabric from my stash is usually the background. She had to go in later then usual and it didn't seem worth it to drop Caleb off at the day care. So he took a nap at Omi's. CR quilters meeting. I gave the program on "crazy quilts - traditional and stack whack". I forgot to take a photo of the BOM "block of the month" though). First he said that...

Feeling Blessed: Visiter from England
http://christa-feelingblessed.blogspot.com/2015/05/visiter-from-england.html
My lace and quilt blog. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Jane (James' sister) arrived from England on Thursday evening May 7th. We picked her up at RIC and didn't have to wait long. Friday is Sarah's day off so she came with Caleb quite early. We had a program. First we had to bring her car to be serviced where we then all squeezed into our Volvo and went to Lewis Ginter Botanical garden. Saw this walking around. Didn't get too close! One of the peonies already in bloom. Uuhh, we had to get up early. Sarah's...

Feeling Blessed: December 2014
http://christa-feelingblessed.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
My lace and quilt blog. Saturday, December 27, 2014. First thought had been to all have lunch in a restaurant but then I preferred brunch at our place. I have some easy recipes which don't take much time. Sarah, Wade, Kathy and Caleb came about 11 am. Poor Mike had been caught by the revenge now, couldn't come and was resting. Caleb went full steam and was a lot of fun. He showed Grandma all the things he could play with at Omi's house. He likes to walk around with things in his hands. After the others l...

Feeling Blessed: March 2015
http://christa-feelingblessed.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
My lace and quilt blog. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Visitors . Part 3. Every Thursday is my "stitchers day" (stitchers for a cause = sewing for charity). I love it and Helen so wanted to come at least once. Last time she visited it was cancelled for VBS or so. This time it worked out. 9 am to 2 pm - and Papa gave us off, ha-ha. We have a potluck lunch and it's just nice social time too. For some Easter spirit Helen made her Easter dessert: rabbits in the grass. That is a tradition since her childhood...

Feeling Blessed: November 2014
http://christa-feelingblessed.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
My lace and quilt blog. Friday, November 28, 2014. What a week. Tuesday we had to say "good-bye" to Helen, Ben and William going back home. The restaurant was "Travinia". Nice ambiance, delicious food, they told us if we bought a bottle of wine that they would "cork" it for us and we could take the rest home. We had an appetizer. They decided that it had taken too long and didn't charge us. And we hadn't even noticed because we had time. It was almost 11 when Sarah arrived. The dogs were excited too.

Feeling Blessed: Gardening, Derby, Hike ...
http://christa-feelingblessed.blogspot.com/2015/05/gardening-derby-hike.html
My lace and quilt blog. Saturday, May 9, 2015. Gardening, Derby, Hike . Here are some pictures of what is not so good in our garden. The azalea almost died this winter and the other green thing just never did anything. So they had to go. This area really needs attention. Those two nandinas always looked messy. For people who moved into a community where the outside is taken care of by the HOA we worked awfully hard, especially James. But the results are so satisfying! James brought a carload to the Goodw...

Feeling Blessed: January 2015
http://christa-feelingblessed.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
My lace and quilt blog. Saturday, January 24, 2015. The day "before". Last day without a child! I woke up at 3 am and she was there at 7:13 am. Thanks, Helen, for not giving me any trouble. They kept me 4 nights in the hospital. She was born Monday morning and they discharged us Friday morning. May be it was because any relatives were 4000 miles away? May be it was because there had been a blizzard outside? Dinner on the last evening before discharging! Probably 3 or 4 weeks old. Isn't she cute? Sarah ha...

Feeling Blessed: William's birthday party
http://christa-feelingblessed.blogspot.com/2015/05/williams-birthday-party.html
My lace and quilt blog. Thursday, May 21, 2015. Saturday. Helen had made really cute invitations . 2 pm at St John's. To give her a little more time for her preparations I had made a breakfast casserole (ha-ha, can be eaten at any time in my eyes) and a cauliflower and egg salad. James, Jane, William and I took that and were at Helen and Ben's house at noon for lunch. Helen introduces Mr Bond, the science guy! Then we all could make a little bouncy ball ourselves. And then one of the little children call...

Feeling Blessed: October 2014
http://christa-feelingblessed.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
My lace and quilt blog. Monday, October 27, 2014. Didn't quite know what to call this blog. I first had called it fever week. Why? Because that's what poor little Caleb had for several days. But one thing after the other. I thought that this might finally be the week were I can tackle a lot of my projects and may be finish something. Oh yeah? Luckily a lightbulb came on and this is a first try of my design. I know already the changes I want to make but overall I am pretty pleased with my new "baby".
