Cider, cheese, sausage, more cider. Eventually the wine would come out but because I don't particularly like it, I would have more cider. There was a bottle of Armagnac for a while. Just one person can make the difference between "pathetically eating dinner alone" and "convivial convention meal experience". I should be writing email, calling, texting. He says I'm awake enough now to know. I'm stupid. Well. Not his words, mine. But I guess he's got a point. I'm up against my limits, and it just makes me weepy. I did not go to the store that day.
