STAMFORD CENTER FOR THE ARTS. Contributed funds to support the Gun Buy-Back Program in Stamford. Purchased bullet proof vests for the dogs serving in the K-9. Purchased a satellite communications unit for the Hostage Negotiation vehicle. Continued sponsors of the National Memorial Day Parade. Provided a blood pressure/health monitor to SPD Officers. Chief Jonathan Fontneau is a highly decorated veteran of the Stamford Police Department with over 100 awards. Chief Fontneau is a multiple recipient of the United States Justice Award for Excellence, Police Officer of the Year, attended the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) National Academy and is a Yale Fellow in Child Development. Chief Fontneau has played a key role in helping the City of Stamford become one of the safest cities in the nation and northeast.
