After its abandonment in the 1950s, Lenox station was used as a repair shop, a carpentry shop, and a warehouse for construction materials. In 1986, the building was donated. Located inside Lenox Station offers a wide variety of Berkshire Scenic Railway logo souvenirs, Polar Express items, as well as other train-related gifts, toys, books, DVDs and more! We also carry items by Melissa and Doug.

A large table had coloring sheets and library information, but it was being used more as a work surface during my visit there. Laurel Loop Trail at the Notch, Amherst, MA. This is one of my very favorite hikes with the kids because it's super short (.75 miles), it's a loop, so there is no whining about turning around, the trail is well kept, it's right near the Eric Carle Museum and Atkins, and if you worry about being isolated, you don't have to worry much here.
