Bermagui Blue Pool

The Bermagui blue pool is in fact two pools set among rocks on the coast next to the town. The location is on a point near the Bermagui Harbour, carved out of the rugged, rocky shores of the New South Walesfar south coast. Bermagui is a mecca for deep sea sports fishermen who like to go after big fish. In 1936, Grey set a record for a tiger shark catch - the 460kg shark was reportedly the largest fish captured using a rod and reel anywhere in the world. In the same year, he landed the first yellowfin tuna ever caught on the south coast of New South Wales. It was a whopping 40kg.
Four Winds Festival, Bermagui

Every two years at easter he Four Winds Festival is held on a property nine kilometres south of Bermagui on the coast road. Directions to the property are signposted. The festival, which in 2014 will be in its 23rd year, features classical, cultural and world music. Artists appear on stage in a natural amphitheatre in bushland, with a small lagoon as a backdrop. Tributes have seen it described as the jewel of Australia's small festivals and a fantastic feast of gorgeous musicians in a wonderful setting.

The town boach, opposite the main street of bermagui, is a sheltered family-friendly beach that is popular in the summer months, but never really overcrowded. It plays host to families staying at the local caravan park and tourists availaing themselves of accommodation in the town. The beach is in the form of a small arc with interesting rock areas to explore at one end. There is a reserve and lookout on the northern headland which provides a stunning outlook of the beach and town centre.
