http://bermudaglen.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-wall-is-coming-along-nicely.html
In Debt In Devonshire. Saturday, October 20, 2012. The wall is coming along nicely. I didn't get to post the events from yesterday (Friday), so am getting it done this morning, before any more work gets done today. The guys are over at another project, but the plan is for them to come over in the afternoon and continue the work. The weather is supposed to start getting cloudy and wet as the afternoon goes by, so I hope it will work out okay. Ryan and William measure and cut metal support rods. Chris bala...

In Debt In Devonshire: March 2012
http://bermudaglen.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
In Debt In Devonshire. Saturday, March 31, 2012. Hard to believe March will be over in four hours. This last day of the month went by very quickly, but a bit more progress was made. Chris, Tony and Luis showed up this morning, but Chris had to go home after an hour because he had hurt a chest muscle while working at the hospital project, yesterday, and was in quite a lot of pain. Hopefully, he'll feel much better by Monday morning. Tony and Chris get the cement mixer ready for action. There was a huge fi...

In Debt In Devonshire: June 2012
http://bermudaglen.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
In Debt In Devonshire. Saturday, June 23, 2012. This has been an interesting journey and it was fun to keep a running log of the renovation process, from beginning to end. Lots of nice comments along the way and most of you were interested to get a first-hand look at how Bermuda houses and roofs are constructed. The final load of gravel is delivered. Johnny uses the Bobcat to spread the gravel. Johnny evens out the gravel in the parking area. The parking area is now finished. A few people have told me ho...

In Debt In Devonshire. Monday, October 22, 2012. The construction process is complete. Chris, Tony and William arrived around 11am to build the "Trash Condo" and the last section of the front wall. The weather was very conducive to working, with much lower humidity and a nice breeze to keep things cool. Rather than add a caption for every picture, as I usually do, I'm just going to display the following photos to show the flow of the work done throughout the day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

In Debt In Devonshire: They're baaaaack!
http://bermudaglen.blogspot.com/2012/10/theyre-baaaaack.html
In Debt In Devonshire. Monday, October 15, 2012. I knew the guys couldn't stay away forever and they finally made it back to their favorite renovation place this morning! This final stage of the project is to replace the main wall at the front of the house and also build what I call a "trash condo." The Planning Department says a proper concrete structure must be built to house the trash for collection, once you have at least 3 individual accommodation units on the property. Removing the main wall. The v...
