If only we had more of these in midtown. We use too. Remember the Korean markets practically on every corner? Oh, all right. They weren't this cute. Posted by chathamgirl at 4:35 PM. When tillage begins, other arts will follow. Tuesday, October 17, 2006. Winter is just around the corner and I'm told by those who would know such things that it's going to be a mild one. And though Spring is five months away, (sigh), some of my favorite seed catalogs have arrived and they will hopefully make the cold months go by faster. Posted by chathamgirl at 7:25 AM. Sunday, October 08, 2006. I've decided that this is what can happen to you when you haven't left the city for a long period of time.

Oaxlis is by far, the most interesting I've come across. Beautiful all year round, even in winter. It loves bright light to shade and no direct sun. Best of all, it has the sweetest trumpet shaped pink to lavender flowers from spring to summer. Posted by chathamgirl at 10:35 PM. Tuesday, September 19, 2006.

When tillage begins, other arts will follow. Tuesday, June 17, 2008. And tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. I won't bore you with where I've been or what I've been up too. As a actor/writer/gardener/painter, the list is too long. I will say that you can pick up a copy of Brooklyn Noir 3 by Akashic Books. In the meantime, check out some of the projects I'm been busy with this past year. This is not even half of it. I'll be showing more later in the week. For a friend in Harlem. For a lucky friend.

The Gardener's Daughter: August 2008

When tillage begins, other arts will follow. Monday, August 04, 2008. I'm a self taught painter so during the hot months of July, I usually come in from my garden and take out the acrylics and oils. Just for the fun of it I painted these funny ostriches from a terrific book called Birds in Love by Jean Leveille, though these guys don't look much like they are in love. Above is an oak leaf hydrangea I finished earlier. Below are dried lavender and bee balm along with some random paintings.

When tillage begins, other arts will follow. Monday, September 15, 2008. I love the flowers at the end of summer. Already the mums are in the markets but I'm still enjoying my constantly blooming rose bushes and the prettiest cosmos! I'm not even thinking of mums. At least not until October.
