Blasts o' th' Past. Solo Cornet 4 - Dovid Friedlander. Dovid arrived at Besses in May 2014. A fantastic prospect who studies Music at Bury College and specialises in Cornet and Trumpet. Dovid's personal Tutor is a Besses Legend, Andrew (Andy) McDonald, who was involved in the Besses 1982 British Open Win playing Repiano Cornet and went on to become Principal Cornet before leaving to join Wingates like so many Besses legends. The brass band has a mellower and richer sound featuring cornets instead of trumpets, E-flat tenor horns instead of French horns and English bore baritone horns.
