Tuesday, 5th May 2015. Hurst Hill, Limestone Brook, Simms, Rivington Hall Barn, Rivington Great Barn, Rivington, Yarrow Reservoir, Anglezarke Reservoir, Stronstrey Bank. White Coppice Cricket Ground. An inetresting exploration of pathless moorland which made for tough walking over hummocky stretches followed by boggy ground! One of the quarries resposible for the warning signs in this area . . . And the same quarry from above (from behind the fence! Great Hill from near Hurst Hill . . .

Wednesday, 13th May 2015. Stockghyll Woods, The Struggle, Kirkstone Pass, Red Screes. Scandale Hause, Little Hart Crag. Overcast in the morning anf brighter in the afternoon. The Langdale Pikes stand out clearly . . . As does the long approach to Red Screes . . . But I prefer the short, sharp path which meanders amongst the rocks . . . Heading up from the Kirkstone Pass. The road to Ambleside from the Kirkstone Pass. From the climb, looking over Stony Cove Pike to Yoke, Ill Bell and Frsowick . . .
