Saturday, April 30, 2011. Philly Water Ice in My Hood? It being a beautiful sunny day today, we went to Flavor Brigade. For some ice cream this afternoon. Has anyone been to this place? It's close to our house on Fruitvale at MacArthur (across the street from the library and the creepy vet). Um, it's amazing! Our family is a bit phantic (yes, ph) for all things philly. And Flavor Brigade hit it OUT of the park. Let me count the reasons why this place it wonderful! They use real fruit. What a joyous day!

Tuesday, June 29, 2010. As teachers, we have five weeks off during the summer. I know I can't complain. It's absolutely wonderful to have so much time to spend with my little family. BUT it goes by so fast. And of course, summer never seems quite long enough. So today, on Tuesday of week two, it's time to say farewell to week one. It was a pleasant week. We've been doing a lot of hanging around our casita. Baby K would rather not be tormented by grabby Sadie, but it's too cute a picture op to pass up!

So we went to The Hi-Life Cafe in Ballard. We sat outside and had the fire pit lit before we ordered. I had an amazing Margherita Pizza! With mozzarella, fresh basil, and pomodoro sauce this pizza made my mouth water! It was warm and the blotches of cheese on it there were bursts of wonderful flavor! Check out their sweet menu.
