Sunday, July 15, 2012. Ice Cream Sandwich Cake. For our family dinner today, my mom and I decided to try something new for dessert. My mom saw a pin on pinterest for an ice cream sandwich cake that looked really easy and really yummy! It was a big hit! And so simple. The recipe comes from this. Blog, and it's so yummy! 24 Ice Cream Sandwiches (we actually ending up using more to fit into 9x13. Not sure if our sandwiches were smaller than hers or what. But we used about 30.). Monday, August 22, 2011. Day 2- First Day in the City, Part 1. The next day we were off to New York City. We drove to the station in South Norwalk, and then hopped onto a train. Which took us to Grand Central Station. I really like that building. :). We then took a subway to Battery Park where we were going on a harbor cruise. There was a really cool asian playing the saxophone not far from Heidi in this picture. This is underground waiting for the Subway. He was amazing. ). Crowded subway happiness :).

Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Smells, scriptures, and Dad. I just want to say how grateful I am for the power of smell. It is such a blessing to have something that can bring childhood memories back so quickly and vividly. It's always AMAZING to think how divinely inspired our bodies are! It's such an amazing gift and all because the location of the olfactory bulb (which is responsible for decoding smells). Don't ask your dad about that homework question- he'll explain it to us for another half hour!
