One of my coworkers lost two of his dogs this year to old age. He seemed ready to adopt again just as I happened to see a gorgeous lab/hound mix come into the shelter. "J," I said, "You must go see this dog! I just knew. And he adopted her on Saturday! If I could afford to have a fence put up, I feel sure I'd be that much closer to having a pup myself. :).
