Amateur Astronomy and Astroimaging from my back yard. Jupiter Io and M101. October 15, 2011. Jupiter Io and M101. Clear skies but very tired. I tried to image Messier 101 to see the progress of supernova SN 2011fe. Sure enough it’s still there and still bright however my imaging skills seemed to have failed me. This is the best image I could get out of 11, 3 minute images stacked using deep sky stacker:. The small dot on the lower right is, I think, the moon Io. Its nice to be back behind the telescope.
