Sunday, August 9, 2015. First Day of School. How can it be this time of the year again? Our summer has flown by and although summer isn't completely over for us yet, we have officially started school. We like to start early and have more breaks throughout the year. It is one blessing of homeschooling! Plus we have a trip coming up the end of August, so it will be nice to have a few weeks in before we go. This is my class this year. They may be a little crazy, but I sure do love them! Big J8 Years Old.

So, we are all awake when our home is usually quiet. We are waiting for HyVee groceries to be delivered and for Grammie to arrive. And since we will be studying the human body, it gives us many opportunities to talk about how amazing our God is. So, we did a first day of school centered around the human body. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works;. My soul knows it very well. We did a scavenger hunt finding different parts of the body. We traced our bodies and colored them. School at the Park.

Firecracker even went through a phase when he pretended to be a dinosaur whenever he ate. roaring before every bite. : ). Numerous times I have watched family members point out dinosaurs in our books asking Firecracker what they are. his response is never just a dinosaur. he always specifies "That's a T-Wex! The sun set so early and the darkness can be scary so we figured out a way to make it fun. A glow in the dark race track!
