Thursday, February 9, 2012. Lunch Menu for Anna. I was to have a friend over for lunch today, but as it is "that time of year" one of her children ended up leaving school before lunch today with a stomach virus. I decided to go ahead and enjoy the meal, praying for her son's health all the while. I missed my friend today. Fresh Cut Veggies (You are on your own for this one. http://bethsbestrecipes.blogspot.com/2010/05/nannys-barbeque-beans-updated.html

Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Nanny's Barbeque Beans Updated. Nanny was a fantastic cook. There are some of her recipes that certainly have her signature about them. One of my family's favorite is her barbeque beans. I have updated the recipe some, but the essential tastes are still present. This recipe can be cooked on low in the crock pot or in the oven at 35o degrees until warm and bubbly. 1 pound lean ground meat. 1 cup (more or less) catsup. 1/4 cup (more or less) brown sugar. My husband and I married in...

Beth's Best Recipes: June 2010

http://bethsbestrecipes.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, June 5, 2010. This was a yummie meal! We had a scallop dish (upper left), steamed veggies, and the broiled tilapia parmesan. Today, I am sharing the Tilapia recipe. 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup butter, softened. 2 Tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice. 1/4 teaspoon dried basil (I used a handful of fresh basil, finely chopped, because I have plenty in my herb garden.). 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper. 1/8 teaspoon onion salt. 1/8 teaspoon celery seed. Line a broiling pan with aluminum foil.

Taylor Times: Scouting

http://taylorlifeandtimes.blogspot.com/2012/05/scouting.html

Tuesday, May 1, 2012. You can only scrapbook so much in life, and boxes of badges and memorabilia are not a good option. After seeing what the scout shop sold (very expensively) as a shadow box, I decided to make my own! So far, I have only completed the cub scout shadow box for the boys. Only one of my 3 boys has his Eagle rank so far, and I just haven't gotten around to working on his Boy Scout memory box. All the boys love their shadow boxes. Webelos colors with webelos pins. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Q and A Session. From time to time, friends and family ask questions. I thought I would spend today's time blogging, answering in more detail some of the questions I am asked most often. Q1 Do you miss home schooling? You might ask if we would ever homeschool again. The answer is absolutely YES! If we felt called to homeschool the children again, we would do it in a heartbeat. Q2 What do you do with your time now that you are no longer homeschooling? Q3 Why not a job? My husban...

Monday, June 16, 2008. Visit from the Past. It seems like yesterday I was picking up a teen-ager named Heidi at McDonald's and bringing her to our home for a visit before taking her home. That happened nearly 20 years ago! This past weekend we were blessed to have Heidi, her husband, Brian, and two of their four children in for a visit. (They were heading on a long trip and had left the 2 year-old and 5 year-old boys with Heidi's parents.) How God has blessed that family! We hope to see them again! John ...

Taylor Times: August 2009

http://taylorlifeandtimes.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Grace is growing up too fast, much too fast. She is 8 years old and is no longer small enough to sit on my lap. When she tries to sit on my lap, her feet nearly touch the floor. She is growing physically. She anticipates "girl time" whether with me or my mother. She is either always wanting to do a craft, clean something, cook something, or decorate something. I enjoy that she wants to hang out with me. Sunday, August 2, 2009. Taylor Times: November 2008

http://taylorlifeandtimes.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 26, 2008. God has given me so much. The Bible tells us that we are to declare the works of the Lord. Today, I am writing this Thanksgiving list. I know it is only partial, and I am bound to forget something or someone. Nonetheless, here it is:. That God provided a way for me to be restored to fellowship with Him through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, and that one day I will live with Him and enjoy and worship Him forever. Taylor Times: August 2010

Monday, August 16, 2010. It Is Going to be OK. I love that God created us in his image. I find it facinating that we are all created with so many differences, too: tall, short, blue eyes, brown eyes, curly hair, straight hair. However, there is one aspect of our creation that I am not sure we fully appreciate in its many forms, our emotional being. I want to feel. I want to linger in the bedroom with my daughter as I wake her up for school, chatting in the early morning hours as the sun rises. I ...Today...

Taylor Times: December 2008

http://taylorlifeandtimes.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 31, 2008. We just closed out 2008. Simple as that. One minute it is 11:59 PM on December 31, 2008, and two minutes later, it is 12:01 AM on January 1, 2009. Wouldn't it be great if life were that simple? Closing out relationships with people is more difficult. Whether it is by choice or by circumstances, closure in realtionships can be tricky. We try our best to be careful with the other person, but in the end, someone always gets hurt. Living and Learning,. Tuesday, December 23, 2008.

Taylor Times: Looking Through the Windshield

http://taylorlifeandtimes.blogspot.com/2012/04/looking-through-windshield.html

Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Looking Through the Windshield. One of the many joys of parenting my children is that they are learning to drive. Joshua is doing a great job driving me around town. I love to give him hints here or there for being a safer and better driver. He is so good to take these observations and to apply many of them. He's going to be a great driver. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My husband and I married in 1989, and we have four really great children. For many years, I was a stay...

This subject has extended my knowledge and understanding of the role of the TL as leader as I have now come to realise that leadership is an activity or a process, not a position (MacBeath and Swaffield, 2008, p. 38; Haycock, 2010, p. 2). I have also come to understand that teachers are all leaders, simply by virtue of their profession (Collay, 2011, p. 75). I believe this unit ha...
