I’m Beth Stilborn. I am an as-yet pre-published writer of fiction for children (mainly middle-graders) and adults. I’m a published writer of hymn texts. Much of my fiction includes reference to the performing arts, to a greater or lesser degree, mainly music, theatre, and film. These art forms have enriched my life and have empowered me, and in my writing I hope to pass that on to others. I have another website/blog that focuses on the arts for kids,. Which I write using my pen-name, Elizabeth Starborn.

The Care and Feeding of Bookworms-in-the-Making. Jan 24, 2012. Just Want to Say. It’s all very well for me to sit here and say, “Get your kids to enjoy reading! 8221; “Reading is important! 8221; “Make reading a joyful experience! 8221; I can hear you all the way from wherever you’re sitting saying, “But HOW? It would be nice if it was as simple as making sure kids have access to books, and modeling the enjoyment of reading. Certainly these are important factors, but they don’t do it all. If it seems a p...

Perched in a Tree. My views from the branch I ponder on. If you really want to know. I Ponder. Wednesdays. Thursday, June 28, 2012. My First Author Visit. When I decided that I wanted to write children's books, I wasn't aware that there was much else involved besides coming up with an idea, writing the story, sending it off to a publisher, and eventually signing autographs. That simple, right? I was blasting music I do not typically listen to (because, let's face it, I'm NEVER alone in the car! Okay, so ...

BRIAN SIBLEY : his blog. My world and welcome to it. Saturday, 2 May 2015. Most of the books I've ever written have lived a short spell and then vanished into obscurity for ever. Only two have shown any sense of survival: Shadowlands. That has been periodically resuscitated across a good many years and Cracking Animation. That has never been out of print – ironically in that it is one of the few books I have written that wasn't on a royalty agreement! Posted by Brian Sibley. Saturday, May 02, 2015. And I...

Palestine Journal | Notes from the West Bank
Notes from the West Bank. October 24, 2010. In today’s Haaretz, the more progressive of the Israeli daily newspapers, I found the most honest and explicit account to date of the extremist settlers’ tactics. Soldiers in the IDF, too, have their own methods, aided by the extreme rhetoric of rabbis in the yeshiva. How is this different from what is preached in radical mosques or madrasas? Small Business Telephone Systems. Going green is not only a trend, it is a smart decision that both consumers and businesses benefit from. Ironically, many of the environmentally beneficial solutions are also economically beneficial. E-billing is a prhyme example of a business solution that works to save money and the environment. Especially if you work with international clients, e-billing is a foolproof and vital method to deliver important information at a very low price. Not only does e-billing cut c...

Friday, December 16, 2011. Sometimes in my Etsy store I get large orders from brides needing wedding favors. Here are some pictures of an order I finished a couple of weeks ago. The favors are the 6 inch birds in gold, white, and fushia type pink. Great colors for a wedding! And then the picture of a pile of bird ornaments was for another large order. Beth's Thoughts
Sometimes completely random, but there may just be something useful. So keep reading. Friday, 12 January 2018. Blogging took a back burner last year, partly because there weren't as many books to review, partly because I wasn't doing any reading challenges and partly because my heart just wasn't in it. Good news, however, I am once again doing a reading challenge this year. This was my biggest reading year since 2010.). The only rule is that a book can only be used for one category! Thought about by Beth.
bethstitches | Look at what I did!
Look at what I did! I’ve been showing off a lot of adored indie patterns lately, but I still have plenty of love for the big dogs. I always enjoy sifting through the newest designer patterns for Vogue and feeling so frickin high and mighty for making a designer dress (except that doesn’t actually make me cool at all). :D. Behold Vogue 1395 – a lovely design by Rebecca Taylor:. Hell yeah, elastic waist! The ties make a bit of an awkward boob shelf for me, but there are worse things in life. I am just goin...
