We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto! Last weekend our stake held a pioneer trek for youth conference. They asked Nate and I to be a "Ma" and "Pa". So we all put on our pioneer clothes and packed our buckets for three days of pulling a handcart across the prairies of northeastern Missouri. Toby didn't want to wear his hat at first. And it was a wonderful relationship for those mothering years to have a daily debriefing as Linda dropped Andrew off each morning. And someone to commiserate with at the end of each day. It's fun to see Andrew now and again on the pages of FB. And fun to sift through old photos and see his elfin face pop up! Those boys were lots of fun.

Monday, December 26, 2011. Cutting A Christmas Tree. We had such a fun time heading down to Spring City to cut a Christmas tree with Grandpa. It was a beautiful sunny day, not even too cold. We found a perfect tree right away and enjoyed the hot cocoa and donuts and good company. Dad brought along his Norwegian Spark ( sled of sorts). We had a very fun Saturday.
