We're playing defence now…. Thank God it’s Monday. April 27, 2015. That is precisely how bad last week was. I woke to be delighted to start fresh! We finished our weekend in the driving rain and searing wind with G’a first ever surf lesson down at Bondi. P took her and the conditions were so bad, he had to retreat to the car after he saw her get up a few times. It was a huge. We're playing defence now…. May 2, 2015. May 4, 2015. We really packed in the excitement today. Á and I started the day with our big Saturday morning walk through Queen’s and Centennial Park. G had guitar. We tidied up the house (I was sent over the edge by all the clutter), P checked out a couple houses and we got ready for our big afternoon. We're playing defence now…. February 28, 2015. I got to attend G’s weekly soccer game today for the first time and, as luck would have it, they won for the first time. G played a variety of positions and seems to be catching on to the idea of marking the other player. She’s never played before so this is all pretty new. February 26, 2015. We got the news from Mom that yesterday Jacquie was taken to the vet and pronounced terminally ill. Rather than see her suffer, she was euthanised. February 24, 2015.

We're playing defence now…. May 30, 2015. We decided to have a family outing to the Sydney Olympic Aquatic Centre today. About 3/4 of the way through the hour long drive, I got the feeling we had forgotten something. Alas, it wasn’t Patrick’s wallet – that was in his pocket. On arrival, we worked it out: we hadn’t brought the swim bag! All the kids had fun in the water – there were no lines for anything so even P and I went down the water slide a few times each!
