Suburban Pagan: The Costumer's most needed object is never worn...
http://suburbanpaganjb.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-costumers-most-needed-object-is.html
A country girl living in the suburbs goes back to her roots. Saturday, January 26, 2013. The Costumer's most needed object is never worn. For a costumer one of the easiest, most needed and almost never seen accessory is a project bag. Especially for folks that costume like Victoria - who only make one costume per era and doesn't usually have accessories that go across costumes. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://suburbanpaganjb.blogspot.com/2013/05/quilted-petticoat-aka-hsf-9.html
A country girl living in the suburbs goes back to her roots. Sunday, May 5, 2013. Quilted petticoat aka HSF #9. A couple of years ago I started purchasing fabric for a Georgian/Colonial American dress. Then while at Walmart (I know, but they have very inexpensive mirrors in the fall) I saw this quilt in the store. I picked up a King size and put it away to be sewn another day. I thought it would be perfect for the flora and fauna challenge. I love the colors and it seemed an easy project. Revised AW16 / ...

Suburban Pagan: Lemon Sorbet Skirt
http://suburbanpaganjb.blogspot.com/2013/05/lemon-sorbet-skirt.html
A country girl living in the suburbs goes back to her roots. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Below is the finished skirt! I like it enough that I may wear it to work or a party some day. Fabric: Yellow Linen (or linen blend). Notions: hook and bar for closure and calico bias tape to enclose hem where the pleated ruffle is attached. How historically accurate is it? I used stash fabric so content in unreliable (most is from the 1980's and 90's). The pattern is draped on Prof. Sprout (my dress form).

Suburban Pagan: My new home
http://suburbanpaganjb.blogspot.com/2014/12/my-new-home.html
A country girl living in the suburbs goes back to her roots. Friday, December 19, 2014. So I actually thought last year that I would be discontinuing this blog in favor of A Reluctant Seamstress. However events conspired to make this one logical again for me. I've moved into my new home, a California Bungalow (sometimes called a Ranch) in Vallejo. After stress inducing negotiations and machinations by the sellers agent, I moved in the day before Dickens opened. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://suburbanpaganjb.blogspot.com/2013/04/a-bustle-pad-and-rump-or-hsf-15-white.html
A country girl living in the suburbs goes back to her roots. Saturday, April 27, 2013. A Bustle Pad - and a rump or HSF #15 White. After much thought and planning of how I was going to complete as many Historical Sew Fortnightly challenges, I decided that I needed to make a Bustle Pad, before I could make other items on my list. See skirt length is important and I want to make a quilted petticoat for Flora and Fauna. Just in time, the White Challenge was posted! There was the turkey platter!
