This weekend while my dad and Debbie were in town we treked up to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. If you have never gone you should go, but try to go on a weekday because the place was packed! It was amazing to see, well, at least the grown-ups thought so. We come all this way and what is the highlight of Carter's day? Back to the dirt!

Carter had his 1 year check up today and he is doing great! His best word is Dog - I can ask him where the dog is and he will crawl around and find Kenai and point at her and say "DA" - so cute! Well we made it through the first year and all of us survived. We threw Carter a birthday party with a few friends and neighbors and had a great time. We're out in New York visiting Aunt Susan and Uncle Zack. So far it's WONDERFUL to be here, we went today and saw Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Carter is having a blast hanging with his Aunt and Uncle and we're glad to be here! Waiting for the ferry with Manhattan in the background. Carter loves his Uncle Zack!
