Kissing Velvet: Writing Sex Scenes
http://elizabeth-cage.blogspot.com/2013/03/writing-sex-scenes.html
Welcome to the blog of writer Elizabeth Cage. Amazon Author Page US. Amazon Author Page UK. Http:/ www.elizabethcage.com. Tuesday, 5 March 2013. It is all about feeling and sensation. The other reason I visualise is to make sure there is realistic continuity. For example, if one minute the female protagonist is naked and then in the next paragraph we read she still has her knickers on! I've just realised I haven’t used the word romance anywhere so far. I suppose I rarely intentionally make the ...He also...

Lynne's Days: March 2011
http://josordoni.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
The day to day daze of life in the slow lane. Saturday, March 19, 2011. A Poem for March. Oh it is a while since I felt like writing other than about recipes and food. But I was sitting in the car the other day, thinking about the #haikugame from Twitter, and tapping out syllables on the steering wheel. I love haiku, they have a strict structure and a lovely internal rhythm. So here is what came to me as I was driving along, on a bright March morning. The break of the season. Thick frozen grey emotions.

Lynne's Days: November 2009
http://josordoni.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
The day to day daze of life in the slow lane. Thursday, November 12, 2009. NaNoWriMo - Day 12 - Hard hard hard. Oof It is very hard to just sit down and find the time to write. I find I need at least an hour to myself, even if I don't write all that time. Anyway. Another snippet for you to be going along with. I crunch up the gravel path. I am as nervous as a kitten. Ring ring. it's my mobile. It's Anna. 8220;where are you? 8220;Just coming to the door… I’m a bit early. Why? Is there a problem? 8220;They...

Lynne's Days: July 2008
http://josordoni.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
The day to day daze of life in the slow lane. Monday, July 07, 2008. The Sourdough Saga - the disaster continues. Oh woe is me. The 2nd attempt has been nearly (not quite as the result is at least partly edible) as disastrous as the first. However, for brick now read pancake. I swear I followed the instructions - sort of. But I ran out of time, so I stuck the whole lot in the fridge overnight - see left how it came out. I thought it looked alright. Links to this post. Thursday, July 03, 2008. If I can ge...

Lynne's Days: Autumn #braindetox halfwaythrough Week Two
http://josordoni.blogspot.com/2013/10/autumn-braindetox-halfwaythrough-week.html
The day to day daze of life in the slow lane. Tuesday, October 01, 2013. Autumn #braindetox halfwaythrough Week Two. I have a highly toxic brain. I have to accept this I think, and to appreciate that this #braindetox will take a lot more than I thought. Week one started last Sunday, and after four days I was in total meltdown. The overheated reactor was sinking into the surrounding brain, and I was really not doing well. Three Mile Island. Not Chernobyl. Even I am not that toxic. People can still...Serie...

Lynne's Days: June 2008
http://josordoni.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
The day to day daze of life in the slow lane. Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Deep breath. Start again. Tap for cravings. Tap for self sabotage. Tap for despondency. Life is good really. I have no idea where the greyness comes from. Maybe if I just ignore it and pretend it will go away? So back to porridgy breakfast. Tapped away craving for chocolate. Tapped away craving for bread. And it's 1 o' clock with no cheats yet. Links to this post. Saturday, June 21, 2008. Know that feeling at all? Is that optimism or...

Lynne's Days: January 2010
http://josordoni.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
The day to day daze of life in the slow lane. Wednesday, January 06, 2010. The world revolves, one year ends and another begins, life rolls on, and I would like to roll with it. So here is my list of new year revolutions. Is that a typo you ask? No, they are not resolutions, they are revolutions for they roll around again every year, no bigger, no smaller than the year before. Yet hope springs eternal in the human breast they say (personally, I think it is just heartburn, but there you go.). Sadly (for m...

The day to day daze of life in the slow lane. Sunday, September 14, 2008. Oatmill Loaf - or how to get your oats. Oooooh, this has come out nicely. Very soft crumb, thin crust, should toast lovely. When I built up the starter for the Pain de Campagne. I made a bit too much, so decided to try out this new flour I found at Sainsbury's. It's probably been there for ages, I just haven't looked at it before. Oatmill by Allinson. 50g ripe white starter (mine was 100% hydration). 50g wholemeal rye flour. When d...
