Tighter than a cat's bum' and other Country Women's Association highlights. December 09, 2013. Talking point in the CWA hall- handmade knit nativity scene! We enter the hall through the kitchen. A twenty-something woman is busily arranging squares of sultana slice on platters. It looks moist, and the sultanas appear deceptively like chocolate. Two enormous bowls of a gorgeously colourful salad greet us first roast pumpkin, avocado, spinach, pinenuts and feta. I am captured. What's on the CWA agenda?

August 25, 2014. In New South Wales. Took a mini trip to Myall Lakes last weekend. Since it's winter and rain was forecast all weekend long, we booked two nights at Myall Shores Holiday Park. They had a special on to stay in the villas for $99/night- toasty with lake views and our very own "pet" duck. Pelicans at Myall Lakes as we pulled up to our villa. Paddling the Pieman River in Tasmania's Tarkine. Tasmania Dreaming: Paddling the Pieman. December 17, 2013. Not too long after the road trip with my Mom. I joined three gals on a paddle down the Pieman River through Tasmania’s spectacular and largely unprotected Tarkine wilderness. We camped one night in the quaint town of Corinna in northwest Tassie and set off early the next morning for a leisurely 18km paddle to the coast. A rare moment of blue sky! The track was wet! This photo still makes me happy.

July 09, 2016. Is a quaint little town down the NSW South Coast, that's mostly known for beach, blow hole and ice cream. But on a recent weekend away, we explored the rocky quarries of the little coast walk.and we had it pretty much all to ourselves. We also heard some Friday night live music by Sean and Lee.
