I have wanted to make one with sleeves and this fabric has been calling me from the stash for about a year now so it was time to set it free. My Mum bought the fabric to make curtains (! The Eclipse - 12/52. Did you see the eclipse? We were very lucky in Edinburgh, the thick clouds held off until just after the maximum eclipse! I went in to E and E's school to set up some pinhole cameras but it was too cloudy for them to work very well so I ended up lining up the kids and letting them all have a go with the eclipse glasses we got at Jodrell Bank. The crazy trio in the garden! A Summer Dress from an Old Sheet. Don't faint, this dress is less than 72 hours old and is appearing here! I have been planning a dress like this for over a year but after a failed attempt at bodice fitting last year I gave up for a while. I bought the burda block patterns this time last year and made up the bodice. According to measurements I had to do a fairly large FBA, but, this made the bodice massive and I couldn't be bothered working out why! Reduced slope on shoulder.
