Trying to remember what I already know. Have you seen Momento? Utf8 results using SOAP: Lite. Spent a couple of days tracking down this problem, so I’ll post it to not forget it. The problem was how to return utf8 strings in a SOAP response. I found learned about. SOAP: Data- new( string = $utf8string );. To prevent SOAP: Lite from writing the string out in base 64. (Ew yuck – doesn’t XML use utf8 to avoid having to escape/unescape character strings? See any pattern there? Welcome to WordPress.com.
