Monday, November 21, 2011. Thought I would post on my good 'ol blog that no one knows about, hehe. I recently started taking some music lessons and I've been actually practicing my vocals. My teach says my vocal range is pretty good and that I already have a good voice! Just gotta work on singing higher notes. It's great because we've been practicing a lot of Beatles songs. Sunday, September 25, 2011. So since we last spoke I was kind of bummed about not doing shows. Well since then we've done 3 shows together and they've all been kick-ass. The unfortunate thing now is our drummer is in the hospital. They've been checking out his heart and we really hope he's okay. We have another show this wednesday and we don't know what to do. Sunday, November 23, 2008. The Shock of the New readings we did really reminded me of pieces that I really like from the 19th century. One in particular is the oath of the Horatii by Jacques-Louis David. The painting is just a masterpiece, the symmetry, the detail, the symbolism. But it would be nice to see people today trying to emulate the style. I'd do it myself ifI could, but I can't draw human figures, just terrible at it. bleh. Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Saturday, December 13, 2008. Saw I purchased the William Wegman DVD on the internet last and week and just got it in the mail yesterday. The collection is just wonderful, some of the movies feel hit and miss, but they all seem to work as a whole. He's so creative and his movies are so thoughtful yet he works with practically nothing.
