http://ta5tebuds.blogspot.com/2010/05/julie-julia-and-delia-with-gratin.html
Through the Lens - Project 365. Wednesday, 5 May 2010. Julie and Julia and Delia (With Gratin Dauphinoise). This must be first time ever that I was struggling to finish reading a book. As I have mentioned earlier in numerous posts, I can read anything and everything, then why did I have to keep counting the pages remaining, and wondering when I will be able to reach the end? I would not have even minded that, if her experiences were something out of the ordinary or even if they were written with a little...

Taste Buds: Back after a break...
http://ta5tebuds.blogspot.com/2008/05/back-after-break.html
Through the Lens - Project 365. Tuesday, 3 June 2008. Back after a break. I still somehow managed to contribute to Meeta's Monthly Mingle. As for the trip, it was super just like all India trips always are. Hectic to the hilt but memorable nonetheless. We are still trying to cope with the jetlag which comes as a package deal with such trips! The AW.E.D. event prompted me to make Mexican after a long time at my place. Thanks Divya for coming up with such a lovely event. While I was picking up the Avocados...

http://ta5tebuds.blogspot.com/2009/10/stuffed-peppers.html
Through the Lens - Project 365. Tuesday, 13 October 2009. Of course many kids living in India do not stay with their grandparents either and only visit them during their vacation, but somehow it feels like a bigger thing when the physical distance between them also is so huge. Wondering why I am going on about these things today? Anyway, when I was not thinking of the above, I was thinking about the Red and Yellow Peppers lying in the fridge. The original plan was to use them in Fried Rice or a salad...

The little girl was circling around her mother for a long time trying to get a glimpse of what she was doing on the kitchen counter. She, the girl i.e., always liked to watch her mum working in the kitchen. giving an impression that she was trying to learn the tricks of the trade or so to speak, never mind her young age. 8221; I dont like tomatoes! 8221; I like Basil a lot, it tastes great! 8220;Dont just say anyth...

Through the Lens - Project 365. Thursday, 3 June 2010. Madeira Cake (Butter/Pound Cake). It has been quite a while that the same picture stares at you whenever you visit this blog. The only consolation was that it was Ras Malai. Having said all that I am not presenting that cake in this post. I feel that when it comes to cakes, I should first mention the one that got me started and then slowly graduate to the more elaborate stuff :). This is the cake which has endured all my baking trial and errors. ...
