New York is enforcing a law making it illegal to keep business doors open while running the AC. Stores open the doors to lure in customers with the cool air. Turns out, that practice wastes energy and increases electric costs. No, really. Shut the door. You’re wasting a lot of energy. So I feel like I have a pretty good idea of how bad it might be.
