The Longloopers: February 2014
http://longlooper.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 21, 2014. We've just completed 2 full weeks in NICU, uh, can I get a woot? Looks like there are still many more days to look forward to as well. Good things about being in NICU. For one, I am not too worried about SIDS because they're hooked up to all types of monitors and such! Nor am I worried about them gaining weight because if they dont eat, they'll be tube fed! I also get a lot of extra hands/help so that I can sleep more. If only I was more of a nap person. July 25, 2009. We got m...

The Longloopers: November 2013
http://longlooper.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 3, 2013. Lentils and quinoa are hip. I dont really hate any particular food. Sure there are foods where I would say, "I'd rather not." But I would eat them anyways, but lentils and quinoa are one of those things I really struggle with. Lentils much more so than quinoa. Usually when I share this with people though I get a response like, "oh really? Or "I just love quinoa! Really I want to like it but. EEK GAG! For the record, I have. Tried to like quinoa! I tried to imitate the Whole Food...

This time we got tour the city with my parents and my cousins, Kesa, Asinate, and her husband Mike. Kesa, getting friendly with the statues. Love Mike's pastry shop! Last time we came I was pregnant and I could not partake of the delicious and unpasteurized soft cheeses. This time I indulged. Why yes, my mom is wearing a shower cap. Why do you ask? Wednesday, November 14, 2012. The joys of home ownership. N-O-T. Matt and I often talk about how exciting it will be when we can become renters again. I think I'm more excited about it than Matt. :). Totally, but *spoiler alert* I'm afraid of dealing with electricity. I'll explain in the next post. Matt got a work table from his Mom and had a great idea of putting a peg board behind it in order to hang up some useful items. It is awesome! After" - Do notice the peg board with useful items attached to it.

Wednesday, May 8, 2013. What are my options for gates? Monday, May 6, 2013. Nine Months and Awesome. I always think of 9 months as the turning point where a baby can now claim they have had more experience outside of the womb than inside of the womb. At nine months our little man can. Crawl super duper fast. Tries to use just about anything to stand up (couch, mini tables, legs of tall chairs, grooves in the wall, etc). Does not like the blender but chases after the vacuum. Comes to us for comfort. The A...

Thursday, February 28, 2013. Loves to put anything and everything into his mouth. Sits up unassisted and prefers to sit up. Wears 3-6 months clothes. Smiles big when Dad comes home. Loves to reach out for things but has no desire to move (out of. Is ticklish in the back of his neck. Stares you down as you eat anything. Wakes up, always. Roll from front to back. Or from back to front. I can't believe this little man is 7 months! I really liked the 6 months part. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). July 25, 2009.

The Longloopers: June 2013

Friday, June 7, 2013. At 10 months…. He can crawl faster than anything. He frequently pulls himself up to our coffee table and just slaps it with his hand. He prefers to climb on top of things and to be taller than his surroundings. He has lots of hair and may need a hair cut. Once we open the fridge door to get something out he drops whatever he has and tries to use the fridge drawers to climb up to the top. He has now been to 4 states in his short little life. He loves to climb stairs! Words of wisdom;...

Monday, January 20, 2014. Christmas Break: UAE and Oman. We really took advantage of vacation time this year. Here are a few highlights of places we went to and things that we did. :). Here's a little map of the Arabian Peninsula to give you an idea of some of the places we went to. My parents live in Saudi Arabia. Isn't that far away from where they're at. In fact we took a few flights in and out of Bahrain and even spent some time sightseeing one day. We spent 12 hours or so in Qatar. Matt racked up a ...

The Longloopers: March 2013
http://longlooper.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 18, 2013. Yesterday we went over to my Grandma's for dinner. I snuck Calvin out and with my sister's camera took a few shots of my adorable son. (I can't get over him! He was tired and wasn't interested in smiling or looking at me as I cooed and spoke in a ridiculously high pitched voice. I was practically selling my soul for a good smile, but I got nothing! However, Tiger the tabby made it look so easy. I have to share these because I feel they capture what happiness is for a 7 month old.
