On Bay Area Sports Especially. A place for me to talk about San Francisco Bay Area sports. Tuesday, October 18, 2005. The King is Dead. Sad news to report but an true icon of Bay Area broadcasting, Bill King, passed away from complications of hip surgery; he had suffered the injury in spring training and been struggling with it all season. Unfortunately the adage "no surgery is minor" proved true for him. He was 78 years old. Posted by obsessivegiantscompulsive at 4:04:00 PM. Monday, October 17, 2005.

On Bay Area Sports Especially. A place for me to talk about San Francisco Bay Area sports. Monday, January 23, 2012. Male Chauvinists Rear Their Ugly Masculine Heads With Wie. Why all the controversy over Michelle Wie? Why not let the young, soon to be Stanford scholar, lady play? Are big boys' big egos getting bent out of shape? I think so, and its not just the golfers, but the writers too, who I find they like to slant their article against her. Ironically, Todd Fujikawa, a 16 year old also from Hawaii...

On Bay Area Sports Especially. A place for me to talk about San Francisco Bay Area sports. Wednesday, December 13, 2006. I like their Direction: Warriors and 49ers. I was going to post this earilier but both were doing well at the time so I thought it would look like I was just jumping on their bandwagon. Now that both are hitting a rough patch, I think it's safe enough to post without looking like a newbie riding the high of a win streak. Posted by obsessivegiantscompulsive at 8:26:00 PM. On Bay Area Sports Especially. A place for me to talk about San Francisco Bay Area sports. Tuesday, April 26, 2005. 49ers Draft Alex Smith QB first in draft. Third, as much as they doth protest, the Niners are not really a West Coast offense team. For all the talk about the new offensive coordinator's learning at the feet of Joe Montana when they were together at K.C., hello! Posted by obsessivegiantscompulsive at 1:14:00 PM. Thursday, April 21, 2005. The Warriors did it, just not the team I thought.

On Bay Area Sports Especially. A place for me to talk about San Francisco Bay Area sports. Saturday, September 24, 2005. Random Thoughts and catching up. Wow, has it been this long since my last post? I guess I got too involved with my fantasy baseball games plus my Giants blog. Let's see, here are my thoughts off the top of my head:. Baron Davis is healthy, stronger, and raring to go, according to a recent article in the Contra Costa Times. Pardon an alumnus' indulgence: GO BEARS! Catching up on Bay Are...

On Bay Area Sports Especially. A place for me to talk about San Francisco Bay Area sports. Monday, January 31, 2005. What is jinxing the Warriors? Oh yeah, Cohan! What idiot would exercise his option before the prior owners had secured the services of Chris Webber to a long-term contract? I thought perhaps Mully would be the cure for what ails them with the moves he had been pulling over the past year before he officially took over. However, signing Foyle to that contract? Monday, January 24, 2005. I rea...

Posted by obsessivegiantscompulsive at 9:22:00 AM. Monday, March 21, 2005. Wow, are the Warriors for real? Late to this but the Chron noted last Sunday that the 4-4 road trip was historic. Only 5th team with sub-.500 record to win at least 4 of 8 games on a road trip since 76-77;. In addition, Andris Biedrins and Zarko Cabarkapa have played well ...

On Bay Area Sports Especially: Warrior's Sale: Ellison No Lock to Buy? I Disagree

On Bay Area Sports Especially. A place for me to talk about San Francisco Bay Area sports. Saturday, June 05, 2010. Warrior's Sale: Ellison No Lock to Buy? Monte Poole, who I used to read when I was in the East Bay reading the Oakland Tribune, wrote a column on Wednesday about how Ellison is no lock to buy the Warriors. I've always liked Monte's writing but I would have to disagree with his column. Feature and walk off with the Warriors. Smart Business Minds Don't Offer Top Bid Immediately. The Giants ju...
