PoMoXian: It's all coming back to me now...
http://pomoxians.blogspot.com/2006/10/its-all-coming-back-to-me-now.html
At the intersection of postmodernity, Christendom and suburban American culture. Thursday, October 05, 2006. It's all coming back to me now. Alright. I'm ready to get back into my writing groove again. Still feeling booked and busy, but the mental fog has cleared a bit and I feel like I have something a little more lucid to offer in this little dedicated space of mine. I bought the new Beck. More to come later, but first I'm going to go see if the Tigers are able to hold on to that 4-3 7th inning lead an...

PoMoXian: Aerosmith Rocks.
http://pomoxians.blogspot.com/2005/12/aerosmith-rocks.html
At the intersection of postmodernity, Christendom and suburban American culture. Tuesday, December 20, 2005. I have seen the band Aerosmith. All part of Bono's "Man of the Year" award campaign, seems to me.) I got to see and hear them perform a great variety of hard rockin' tracks that made me smile and nod and occasionally stomp in appreciation of what their music meant to me in days gone by. Joe Perry even did a Jimmy Page imitation with a feedback-screeching freakout session on the theramin! King Of K...

At the intersection of postmodernity, Christendom and suburban American culture. Monday, September 26, 2005. Nothin' but Number Ones, Oh Yeah! If I had the time, I would like to put together a website offering my unvarnished commentaries on each song. I know that Billboard Magazine already puts out thick books dedicating a page to each #1 song, but they are often more interested in the artists themselves and rarely seem to comment about the cultural significance of the song, the music, the lyrics, etc.

PoMoXian: Birthday Presents
http://pomoxians.blogspot.com/2007/08/birthday-presents.html
At the intersection of postmodernity, Christendom and suburban American culture. Tuesday, August 28, 2007. This past Saturday was my birthday. I had a nice time of it. My hometown of Wyoming MI put on the third annual Metro Cruise which is a fun event that gives thousands of people a chance to stare at cool cars that they will never own or even drive. At night our family went out to enjoy some good Mexican food at "On The Border.". I got some very nice gifts. A couple of DVD's, "The Fountain". Based in G...

At the intersection of postmodernity, Christendom and suburban American culture. Sunday, September 15, 2002. I had a pretty remarkable evening this past Friday night. My wife was busy having several of her friends over to work on their Creative Memories. Albums, so I searched the paper to find something to do on short notice, and saw that the Grand Rapids Symphony. So I whipped on down to DeVos Hall. The guest artist was a pianist, named Leon Fleisher. He performed two pieces, the main one being a Ravel.
