Il Laboratorio di Takya: Pensando al passato...
http://takyalab.blogspot.com/2012/03/pensando-al-passato.html

I have been so busy lately with working, traveling, and life in general. In lieu of posting photos of new work, which will be coming soon, I am posting some photos of my sketchbooks. I have just started to document them, as there is now close to a decades’ worth of doodles! The sketchbooks are important to me, I almost always have one on me. I keep ideas, sketches, memories, quotes that speak to me, ticket stubs, scraps of paper and fabric, photosanything and everything. I hope you enjoy them! Newer Post...

Existing in a World of Silence: Creating the World We Live In
http://existinsilence.blogspot.com/2015/06/creating-world-we-live-in.html
Friday, June 12, 2015. Creating the World We Live In. Last night I was discussing the town I grew up in with my mother who is now 80 years old and who lives in the house my grandparents built back in 1950. This was, as many Midwest US towns were in the early part of the 20th century, a factory town. Steel and glass to be precise. So, in talking with mom about the old days, I realized that we had totally different ideas of what the town was like. So this is my point. If I showed you images of the town I g...

Il Laboratorio di Takya: "Winter is coming"...
http://takyalab.blogspot.com/2011/10/winter-is-coming.html
Esperimenti di legatoria, ma non solo! E quindi, qual'è il modo migliore per prepararsi? Finire la coperta all'uncinetto, ovvio! Comunque, è grande all'incirca 1,80 x 2,30 metri. A breve spero di poterla portare alla z...

Mother. .teacher. .artist. Follow the yellow brick road. Can you believe zozobra is next weekend? Poor giant puppet. burn him, burn him. A candy memorial to a dear friend who suddenly left the earth. i've lit a candle, hoisted a lovely glass of red and then made this piece. a day-of-the-dead bottle cap he gave me was transformed into crusty torch enameled candy corn. one of his favs! His banners and flags spread the word of transformation through hope, love and peace. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ethereal...

Sunday, October 12, 2014. Grumpus Garden Gnome #2. Here's a peek at the second of my Grumpus Garden Figurines. I am relly liking the idea of making them all self-appointed royalty of the garden-sphere. So, in keeping with that idea, let me introduce you to Prince Daikonderoga. I'll be adding a little radish crown before he is ready but I love this guy! First time I've added teeth to a figure and so, the leaf sticking out of the mouth just seemd only right too! That's it for today! Tuesday, October 7, 2014.
