Knitter, librarian, gamer. Today Mick and I celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. A decade of memories. So here’s a look back at us over the years, 2005-2015. I’ve spent the best and the worst years of my life with this man. And I’m thankful for all of it. It’s been pretty damn awesome. I love you, Mick. Happy anniversary! The only picture I have of us together this year. In the lobby of our building in NYC on our 2nd anniversary. At Justin’s 29th Birthday dinner. Out for sushi on our 9th anniversary.

As I may have mentioned … SEVERAL times before, I tend to either want to do ALL the things … or none of the things. Usually this happens in quick succession. I start to do ALL the things … then realize I can’t and do NONE of the things. Or is my ADHD brain a little too bouncy … because it is kind of that way. I mean it didn’t fall apart … That’s the important part … right? The key is baby steps.

When I read the news on Sunday morning, the media seemed to be reporting this feeling of “shock” and “disbelief” when it came to the massive shooting. I’m not saying it wasn’t horrifying because words are inadequate to describe the depth of that horror. But “shocking”? I couldn’t wrap my mind around that. Really? The last place you’d expect this to happen? It made me think of Laramie, Wyoming and Matthew Shepard.

So all the snow that we were supposed to get this winter finally came … in like less than twelve hours … UPSIDE: Snow Day ALLLLL over the State … DOWNSIDE: Can totally work from home and will have totally have to do so. EPIC UPSIDE: I remain employed while not having to get out of bed … Also get kitten and puppy cuddles … sometimes when I don’t want them. Motivation and self esteem are not the same thing.
