Friday, February 13, 2015. First taste of Spain. I had been watching tickets throughout the fall, and snagged a cheap deal to Barcelona for 4 days during the first week of February, the week before the spring semester started! And so, we packed our backpacks, stuffed our double stroller with diapers/wipes, bused to Bratislava, and took Ryanair over to Spain. What else to do on a plane but take "selfies"? Michael is becoming a pro at handling the iPhone camera. Over the Italian Alps. Found a Gaudi house!

Sunday, March 29, 2015. After my last post, we became quite busy getting into the swing of a new semester again, but have some pictures from February and March to share. Michael keeps asking when the sun is coming out so we can go to the beach, and often makes a tent "on the beach" and takes off his clothes to swim. Dominic likes to pretend he is going somewhere and tells me, "Bye.". Michael likes to line himself and Dominic up and say, "We are soldiers! So here, Papa was teaching them how to salute.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014. We have been relishing these stay-at-home weeks and taking lots of time to cuddle and play with the boys. The warm summer days are interspersed with rain. Our friend Krystelle from Miami, who attended Ave Maria University at the same time we did, is on a 100-day Marian pilgrimage in Europe, and came to visit us after her pilgrimage(s) in Italy. She has such a warm, loving heart and a way with children, so the boys took to her right away! It was great for Krystelle to rest up and use the shower! Saturday, January 24, 2015. A special surprise and Italian adventure. Look who surprised me in Vienna a few weeks ago - my beautiful sister, Mary! Apparently, the whole family knew about this event for a couple months; kudos to them for keeping it secret - I had NO idea and was shocked! Once I calmed down, I realized she would be with us during our little trip to Italy, and that made it all the more fun! We had plans to meet up with a second cousin of ours who is military, and stationed in Vicenza, Italy.
