Discussion, Opinion, and Theories. Nov 21st, 2008 @ 11:12 pm. Wierd (possibly stupid) question. It sounds morbid, i know, but reading articles like this. Make me wonder if authorities can overrule the family and exhume a body. short of calling a coroner's office, i haven't been able to find out. it just sounds bizarre to me that the family would need a legal battle just to keep a loved one buried.
