When not spinning tunes over the air as the host of KUVO’s Saturday night R&B Jukebox, Easy Bill is out and about spreading the Blues as it’s meant to be heard: Live! From jumpin’ West Coast styles to low-down Chicago Blues, Texas shuffles to Swampy slow burners, a night out with Easy Bill and The Big Beat is always a fun time. The 2003 release of their debut album Midnight Creep earned favorable reviews and debuted on the Living Blues Radio Charts at #18. Their 2005 release Stay Tuned!

These guys know when to cook and when to lie back, providing a textbook example of how to merge the modern with the moldy. Compared with other contemporary units who cover this territory, the band is refreshing in its restraint. A sleeper pick for this year's Top Ten CD list will undoubtedly be. Easy Bill has the Big Beat down. Two thirds of the tracks are self-penned, and you sense that in a live setting they would provide hugely enjoyable entertainment. Five stars. Excellent.
