What Did She Say?: The Enigma File
http://sowhatdidshesay.blogspot.com/2010/11/enigma-file.html
What Did She Say? Tuesday, 23 November 2010. Instead it's going to be like a little surprise every time you get here. You won't know if it's going to be misery or fun, celebrating or moaning, interesting or dull. I expect you're quite often disappointed anyway, especially about the interesting. Just like the old days. I do have one serious thing to say though. I'm so touched by all your lovely message of support and kindness on my post about my multiple sclerosis. Posted by What She Said. Enquiries, comm...

A Life with a View: April 2010
http://alifewithaview.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A Life with a View. Glimpses- sideways, backwards, from the inside, out. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Pulled by the Red Thread. Acrylic on canvas, 30" x 40". Private collection, Dallas. An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break." -. I believe this proverb is accurate, at least partially so. I'm not sure the thread is red. After all, it is. Would you meet the periodontist of your dreams? To the city...

A Life with a View. Glimpses- sideways, backwards, from the inside, out. Monday, January 11, 2010. Thank You for Your Concern. As You Can See, We're Fine. Dropped out of blogging again and I appreciate your inquiries regarding the state of things here. As you can see, we remain sound in body and mind. Friday will be Oakley's 21st birthday. He has matured into an upstanding young man. With the hair to prove it. Aside from David's thyroid condition, we'd give life two thumbs up. WAY up. Thank you, Daryl!

A Life with a View: February 2011

A Life with a View. Glimpses- sideways, backwards, from the inside, out. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Roll Over, Edvard Munch. Edvard Munch, The Scream. Whoever doesn't recognize this painting, raise your hand. (I see one hand, but it's attached to the arm of the class clown, so I disregard that hand.). Whoever has never related to the feeling in this painting, raise your hand. (I see no hands.). This one reduced the composition to the diagonal lines of the bridge and inserted the figure within those li...

A Life with a View: December 2009
http://alifewithaview.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
A Life with a View. Glimpses- sideways, backwards, from the inside, out. Friday, December 11, 2009. When my sister Rhonda was 5, she got her head stuck between two wrought iron rails on our front porch. I don't remember what prompted her to put her head between those rails. Maybe she was playing "Jail." All the kids on Emmet Street loved to stand on our front porch, grab a couple of the rails, and chant, "Look, I'm in jay-yul! Look, I'm in jay-yul! Therefore I am in jail. I think with my head. We've got ...

Merry Daze: Flying!
http://merrydaze.blogspot.com/2011/03/flying.html
Often in the mud always looking to the light. Sunday, 20 March 2011. Today I've been flying from Biggin Hill, in a light aircraft, flown by Tom, my eldest son. He's training for a private pilot's licence. In the back seat I was two things - silent while he did his thing - and terribly proud. Boy to man. His own man. And a darn sight more focussed and competent than his mother has ever been! Go Tom. Keep being yourself. Posted by merry weather. If your boy wants to do it nows the time. That must have been...

softinthehead: Good news!
http://softintheheadblog.blogspot.com/2012/05/good-news.html
Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Well after all my moaning in my last post, I have now got a little temp job. Not sure how long it will last but am trying to make myself indispensable. At the moment it is just reconciling orders and invoices and filing. They have a big backlog. As I suspected, it was more a case of who you know, not what you know! Still the money will help finance the flights back to France in July. Food, Fun and Life in the Charente. May 21, 2012 at 5:43 AM. May 21, 2012 at 7:00 AM. Manic Mothe...

Merry Daze: International Human Rights Day
http://merrydaze.blogspot.com/2010/12/international-human-rights-day.html
Often in the mud always looking to the light. Friday, 10 December 2010. International Human Rights Day. Today is International Human Rights Day. For me this means teamwork. Life isn't a competition. It isn't about the survival of the fittest. It's about all of us: weak and strong. Shoulder to shoulder. Living Together. Speaking and being Heard. Going forwards through Education, Information, Understanding and Choice. I do In all shapes and sizes. I like manners too. And humour. In the bigger picture?

Merry Daze: A Flash of Spring
http://merrydaze.blogspot.com/2011/01/flash-of-spring.html
Often in the mud always looking to the light. Sunday, 9 January 2011. A Flash of Spring. 19 Days into Winter and hey, today a Flash of Spring. Hooray. I've just tidied my garden after the snow and the ice. Leaves from the park mulched the new plantings very well. I had feared that the old hydrangea in deep shade by the garage was a goner. I've been loathe to go near it until today. After the snow I looked at it and it looked at me. Curtains I sniffed. But no! Soon it'll probably snow once more! Also, on ...

Often in the mud always looking to the light. Tuesday, 8 November 2011. There will come a time. Love Mumfords, love this. Posted by merry weather. This blog maybe out of date, but it lives on, as long as I do. Quietly. Life is good. Life is really short.
