Amateur naturalists discuss the flora and fauna of the San Francisco Bay Area of California, USA. Tuesday, August 16, 2011. A Green Anole on Maui. He has a dewlap or throatfan under his chin that he would open up from time to time. It was bright red or orange in color and would stick out from under his neck by half an inch or so. He wouldn't do this when I had the camera on him, though. But, here is a picture of a gecko with his dewlap out. Some say they escaped from a pet store. Links to this post.

Friday, 25 November 2011. So sorry for the delay my friends, i have so much to tell you I hardly know where to begin. Since my visit to the super spar on Monday we have experienced some very large storms here in SA, they are incredible. So beautiful and very LOUD! However, this has meant that the electricity has been rocky which as a result has messed up the internet connection! HOW RUDE the weather can be sometimes, does it not know how important I and my blog is? Anyway, we had a really lovely walk....
