Steve's Gambling Sketchbook: November 2010
http://stevesketchbook.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
My humble attempt to track my extensive gambling activities. November 26, 2010: I'm Still Alive! It's been awhile since I posted anything to the Sketchbook. Don't be afraid, though. I am alive! Bored and sitting around the house this afternoon, I decided to log into Full Tilt Poker. Sitting down at a $1/$2 Rush Poker table with $100, I played for 30 minutes. When I logged out, I had won a quick 'n' easy $150. Woo hoo! Here's a couple screen shots of some of my bigger wins:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Steve's Gambling Sketchbook: June 21, 2011: Fanduel Update
http://stevesketchbook.blogspot.com/2011/06/june-21-2011-fanduel-update.html
My humble attempt to track my extensive gambling activities. June 21, 2011: Fanduel Update. Since getting back from Vegas, I can't say that I've found much success playing daily fantasy baseball at Fanduel. In fact, entering last night's MLB games, I was down $125 since returning from Sin City. My luck finally changed last evening, as I won money in all six $5 leagues I joined. In fact, thanks to nice performances from the Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw and the Padres' Orlando Hudson (who? Do you like Badgers?

Steve's Gambling Sketchbook: June 5, 2011: WSOP Recap
http://stevesketchbook.blogspot.com/2011/06/june-5-2011-wsop-recap.html
My humble attempt to track my extensive gambling activities. June 5, 2011: WSOP Recap. Approximately 3,020 signed up to play in Day #1A of the World Series of Poker's Event #8 yesterday afternoon. I was one of the people who ponied up $1,000 to play. At least I was still alive! At the 5 1/2 hour mark, I was sitting on 11,200 chips. We were already down to 650 players and it was announced that we'd continue playing until we reached approximately 325 players. I felt good about things. The first player flip...

Steve's Gambling Sketchbook: March 2011
http://stevesketchbook.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
My humble attempt to track my extensive gambling activities. March 26, 2011: Nothing into Something? It took a few tries, but I finally claimed a buck or two by winning a freeroll using Full Tilt points. Slowly but surely, I turned that buck or two into a few bucks and then turned those few bucks into a few more bucks. As I type this entry, the balance in my Full Tilt account has grown to $58.82. My humble attempt to track my extensive gambling activities. June 16, 2010: The World Series of Poker. I ventured to Las Vegas this past weekend with David and played in Event #24 of the World Series of Poker. Starting at noon, my $1,000 investment didn't last very long, as I was sent to the rails less than 2 hours after sitting down. Boo! As proof that I actually played, here's a picture that I bootlegged off worldseriesofpoker.com. Doesn't my stack of green $25 chips look intimidating? Not surprisingly...

Steve's Gambling Sketchbook: June 4, 2011: I'm in Vegas!

My humble attempt to track my extensive gambling activities. June 4, 2011: I'm in Vegas! As I type this entry, I'm sitting in my hotel room at Harrah's preparing to play in the World Series of Poker's Event #8. The $1,000 tourney starts in less than 2 hours. Amazingly, David and I are seated at the same table of an event that's projected to have 6,000 entrants. What are the odds of that? Regardless, it's time to focus on the WSOP. Good luck to me. It's about time to head over to the RIO and test ...Card ...

My humble attempt to track my extensive gambling activities. July 31, 2010: Bad River Cards. A couple of bad river cards has left me in a bad mood this morning . . . July 30, 2010: You Can't Win Them All. I did not put my opponent on "the nuts" on this hand. Oops! July 26, 2010: Big Hand of the Night. July 20, 2010: More Rushin'. I'm still finding good luck at the Rush Poker tables of Full Tilt. Here's a screen shot of a pot I claimed when I hit my 2-outer on the river. Lucky me! July 18, 2010: Rush Poker.

My humble attempt to track my extensive gambling activities. March 30, 2010: Go Duke! I will be a Duke fan for a while this weekend. As best I can tell, a Saturday victory by the Blue Devils will net me a bit more thany $100 in a couple NCAA bracket pools I entered. Then, I need Duke to lose the championship game to Butler or Michigan State to cash in a bit more. If that happens, I could win a heckuva lot of money. March 28, 2010: Poker Update. Slow and easy . . . that's my motto right now. Here's my mai...

Steve's Gambling Sketchbook: December 2010
http://stevesketchbook.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
My humble attempt to track my extensive gambling activities. December 13, 2010: A Good Ninety Hands. Before watching NFL football this evening, I logged into Full Tilt and played exactly 90 hands of $1/$2 Rush Poker. Buying in for $80, I saw my stack increase exponentially in less than 30 minutes of action. Here are screenshots of the three big hands that helped me claim a profit of $350 tonight. Woo hoo! In each case, all the money went into the middle after the flop. December 11, 2010: Twenty Minutes.
