Today on the farm Nathan saved a broiler chicken from death. It had found a rope and had managed to swallow a foot of it. Nathan found the rope in the chickens mouth and around its leg. Thursday, January 8, 2015. December was a busy time of getting ready for Christmas. While I addressed envelopes for Christmas cards, Alex was working at school on his Christmas program. And Adam and Erin helped me bake lots of cookies! We drove to Jackson's for a day or two to play (we waited til New Years to do Christmas so Phil and Chelsey could be there) and then headed home. It helped that the bus driver came by the house a day or two before school and they practiced how and when to cross the road. He even got to pick out his seat (they have assigned seats). Monday, July 22, 2013. We put up a little pool for the kids over July 4th. They love it! It's been great since it's been so hot. But the other day we decided a trip to the lake was in order. :) I just took the kids for an overnight stay at Mom and Dad's, but it was a nice quick trip.
