Although my official bandiversary/surgiversary isn't until February 20th, I thought today would be a great day to post again, because (a) it's been a long time and (b) I have a lot to celebrate! On February 20th, I will be celebrating my 6th anniversary of beginning a new life, and finally learning how to love ME. the way everyone else has all along. Happy New (school) Year! Wow Memorial Day since I've last posted! Sorry I just honestly haven't had a lot on the WLS front to share! We had a great summer. We spent every major holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day) at Smith Mountain Lake and had a blast. Lot of long weekends which were great. Interspersed between, were my Grandmother's 95th birthday, my parents 45th anniversary and a wonderful girl's weekend for Lucia and me to FL. Here are a few pictures below. July 4th - SML. 40 and loving it (even 10 days later)! OK, yes, I stink at posting lately. sorry! I have had such a great month - my 40th birthday, Thanksgiving, and seeing family and getting ready for the holidays! I got "Flocked" with 40 pink Flamingos in my front yard for my 40th - such a FUN surprise! My folks came down, and we had a nice quiet dinner Friday night (my birthday) and then Dennis (and Lucia) had a really nice party for me at our house on Saturday night - such fun to celebrate! Or 20 for that matter).

Beach Fun, Band Issues and Baby boogie-boarding. Lucia and Liam. walking on the beach together. My friend Lori and Me, with Liam at the beach (and his blue shovel). Me and my boy. Liam really seems to like the beach - unfortunately, he has a cold and is cutting about 6 teeth at once, so he is a bit grumpy but still we're having a blast. He's happy as a clam to be sitting in the sand and digging with his shovel and bucket. Sand in, sand out. Sand in, sand out. And so it goes. Lucia working her boogie board.

The first weekend began with saying goodbye to one small red car and HELLLLLLLLO. To our new SUV! We our proud new owners of a Toyota Highlander. Sunday, February 6, 2011. Where we went to the Rodeo and to see Lady A. We found the shopping this year! What can I say, we have an aspiring model on our hands! He was so happy, he wanted me to take his picture by every tractor at the place. We started out walking around looking at all of the animials and petting the big cows while also watching them get their baths. Then moved on to the corndogs, beer, and of course turkey legs! The turkey leg was bigger than their head! And they LOVED every bite of it.
