Embracing my natural coily-curls! Oils are essentially good for natural hair. I do not claim to be an expert on natural hair care. But, I am finding oils are essentially good for natural hair care. I’m sure there are arguments for or against every kind of essential and carrier oil on the market. I haven’t tried them all, so I can speak only about the ones that have been friendly to my natural coily-curls. I like to use a combination of these oils as part of my daily hair routine with certain styles:.

Embracing my natural coily-curls! I do not claim to be an expert on natural hair care. Love and take care of your natural coily-curls even while you are asleep. Our natural coily-curly tresses need TLC both when we are awake and when we are asleep. One way to maintain moisture and curl definition,. And help prevent hair breakage.

Embracing my natural coily-curls! I do not claim to be an expert on natural hair care. Ever noticed how easy it is to get bored with the same-old-same-old hair styling of our natural coily-curls? Here’s an easy fix. Do something different with your natural hair in 2012! Who said we have to wear the same hairstyle week in and week out, or even use the same hair products every week? One week I use water along with my homemade Shea Butter and hair gel smoothie whipped mixture to define my curls. You are com...

Embracing my natural coily-curls! Randomnaturalistatip #7 — Know your hair, know your environment. I do not claim to be an expert on natural hair care. But, I do believe based on what I’ve observed during my natural hair care journey since 2009, that it’s important to know how your natural coily-curls respond to different environments and climates. And, then moisturize your coily-curls accordingly. Sharon M. Biggs, M.A. This entry was posted on March 22, 2012. Bookmark the permalink. Biggs Fashions NY SH...

Embracing my natural coily-curls! Eyes in the back of my head. I do not claim to be an expert on natural hair care. Sometime during the 1980s, Patti LaBelle came up with a funky song entitled, Eyes in the Back of My Head. As a naturalista, I sometimes feel as if I have eyes in the back of my head when I can just sense someone standing or sitting behind me staring at my natural coily-curls. I can almost sense them saying to themselves: Wow! But homie just don’t play that hair-touchy-thing. Own your own he...

Embracing my natural coily-curls! I do not claim to be an expert on natural hair care. About a year and a half ago I found a great book entitled, Going Gray. In the book, Anne Kreamer shares about her real-life journey of aging, going gray, and about making a deliberate decision to stop color dying her hair; and allowing her natural gray hair to flow and show. Natural herbal Henna, natural Amla powder, and cooled black coffee were always in my search results regarding ways to maintain dark-colored hair.
