First Smiles And Tears. Laughing and crying in parenting. 8220;Mama, the edges of books are called spines,” said Miss Red on Monday night. We were reading a few books from the library. There are two series that she’s currently wild about, and we are, too. Polly Dunbar. Now You're in the World: The Day Shift
http://nowyoureintheworld.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-day-shift.html
Now You're in the World. Friday, November 2, 2012. Hey, I'm blogging a whole half hour earlier tonight! So, I warned you that I'd be phoning it in this week. Don't expect anything substantial until Sunday, at the earliest. Or maybe just don't expect it at all. I like to keep the bar low around here. Which reminds me, did anyone see the South Park about Honey Boo Boo/Raising the Bar? On that note, it's a Friday night, and Chris is actually here, so I'm out. November 3, 2012 at 6:25 AM. I'm a new mother an...

Now You're in the World. Tuesday, August 23, 2011. A year ago Ginger over at Ramble Ramble. Well, Ginger has invited us, a year later, to share a typical day in our lives once again. And, while I do not have the routine I thought I would have by now, I suppose I will give it a go anyway:. You say. "You have a two-year-old, and you can go back to sleep after getting up at 7 am to pee in a cup? You wanna go downstairs with me? She would like for me and Chris to sit on the floor with her all day playing wit...

Now You're in the World. Thursday, August 23, 2012. Why, hello there. Do you want to know what I’m doing right now? I’m glossing over the fact that it’s been roughly six months since my last blog. Okay, now that’s out of the way. How have you been? Honor him in the same way. See what I mean about the cute? No time like the present I say! Okay, I don’t really say that; I’m a huge procrastinator. You guys look like you're plotting against me already. I went through a lot to have you, Buddy, and you more th...

Now You're in the World. Sunday, November 4, 2012. Hanging On By a Thread. I swear I will blog about something other than how crazy having two kids has made our lives. I feel silly, because obviously people have way more kids than this and probably get way more accomplished than we do. But, this is it right now. The kids have taken over our lives, and it may be a long time before we get them back. Good thing I have all month to get it right. Links to this post. That Didn't Take Long. Links to this post.

Now You're in the World: Oh, hi there!
http://nowyoureintheworld.blogspot.com/2012/02/oh-hi-there.html
Now You're in the World. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Oh, hi there! So, this is awkward. Let's start with a small update: the baby is due in about two months. We are in escrow for a house that will close roughly two weeks after our son is born. At first, I was really bummed about the timing. I mean, who wants to move with a newborn? March 1, 2012 at 7:19 AM. Glad youre back on the horse! I am always interested in what you have to say. March 1, 2012 at 8:15 AM. And congrats on the house. March 2, 2012 at...

Now You're in the World: Day One
http://nowyoureintheworld.blogspot.com/2012/11/day-one.html
Now You're in the World. Thursday, November 1, 2012. I'm actually laughing at myself for thinking I can do NaBloPoMo this year. I tried it two years ago, and almost made it, but I have to admit some of the posts were basically cheating, and many were worthless. This year, I have TWO needy children, and on day one I can't even manage to post until 10:30 pm. November 2, 2012 at 3:05 PM. Im so glad the bands getting back together! Now You're in the World. Friday, December 2, 2011. And now that I have a kid? She seemed satisfied with having to wait until Christmas, but then again, I don't think she realizes how many more Rapunzel-free days are in her future. I may have jumped the gun a little this time. Charlotte with Santa circa now. The one thing that I want to work on with our Christmas experience this year and all the years forward is to instill the spirit of generosity in her. I told her yesterday that we were going to buy...

Now You're in the World. Monday, November 21, 2011. Because Cheetos Aren't Dinner. Tomorrow I will be sixteen weeks pregnant, and so far I haven't fully emerged from some of the more unpleasant first trimester symptoms. I still get nauseous in the evenings, and I still need naps most days due to the fatigue. These symptoms are annoying enough, but what is most distressing to me is that they have caused me to completely lose my cooking mojo. So, what's my problem? Links to this post. I hope this will get ...
