Madwoman in the Basement: April 2009
http://stillinthebasement.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Always have a buddy. Ladies, I have some advice to impart. When shopping for maternity clothes, take along a buddy because OMG, otherwise you will leave despondent, feeling like a cow and wondering how on God's green earth you are going to survive the next 6 months wearing things that look like THAT. Let alone 4 months from now. It seemed clear that to find one thing that fit I'd have to try on everything since things weren't consistently sized. I'll wri...

A Womb of One's own: April 2012
http://wombofonesone.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
A Womb of One's own. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Who is the source of stress here? Sometimes I think I should rename this blog 'fumbling through motherhood'.I've spent many an hour racking my brains over the source of my child's meltdowns in the morning on the days I go to work and every night when I make dinner. They began around 12 months old and now, at 29 months continue on a mostly daily basis. The person that I most wish I could talk with about my role as a mother is my grandmother. A person, who,...

A Womb of One's own: Should be we surprised by this?
http://wombofonesone.blogspot.com/2012/07/should-be-we-surprised-by-this.html
A Womb of One's own. Saturday, July 21, 2012. Should be we surprised by this? Another day of buzz on the interwebs. This one is a true tragedy; the shooting in Aurora, CO at a midnight showing of the new Batman movie. A line from an article. Frankly, the concept of violence extends all the way down to children's clothes. In recent years a trend has emerged of the use of camouflage in boys and girls clothing. For girls, of course it has the ever-present pink added in, but for boys it is straight u...Ben a...

Madwoman in the Basement: Things I...
http://stillinthebasement.blogspot.com/2009/10/things-i.html
Friday, October 9, 2009. Fingers and feet that swell up each day. Small Stomach that yet brings a 35 pound weight gain. 35 extra pounds (and counting.). Sleepless nights due to baby bomping, hip pain and excessive peeing*. Prenatal yoga instead of the real thing. Not being able to workout. Thinking a short walk is a huge accomplishment. Not being able to just poop like a normal human being. Crying when someone looks at me crosseyed. Wondering what this child is going to look like. Madwoman in the Basement.

A Womb of One's own: SAHM
http://wombofonesone.blogspot.com/2012/11/sahm.html
A Womb of One's own. Tuesday, November 20, 2012. I seem to be able to be a SAHM for a certain number of hours each day, but after that amount of time I am done. DONE. It only adds to my own misery, let her watch! I might take that thought back when she is 10 and has ADD. Basically, I've hit that point when I feel like I'm trapped in some circle of hell and there are hours, HOURS before the hubs will be home. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Madwoman in the Basement: My liberal roots are showing. Again.
http://stillinthebasement.blogspot.com/2009/10/my-liberal-roots-are-showing-again.html
Wednesday, October 7, 2009. My liberal roots are showing. Again. In recent days there have been several incidents that have caused me to say "huh? I fall firmly into the camp of just teaching kids the right names, demystifying the whole thing and getting on with it. Yep, I know that means you have a 3 year old who, in all likelihood, will announce to some total stranger "I have a vagina and you have a penis! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://stillinthebasement.blogspot.com/2009/10/bens-birthday.html
Thursday, October 22, 2009. Here are a few photos from Ben's birthday celebration last weekend. Ariana was rockin' a new do with her hair and enjoying full body contact with her piece of chocolate cake. I just love that girl. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Madwoman in the Basement.
